MAT's commissioning team is preparing to hand over the ECO-flow Stealth 3200 UCV canopy and critical ventilation system within the hospital’s new modular obstetric operating theatre.

MAT designed, installed and commissioned the ultraclean ventilation (UCV) and critical ventilation system as part of its popular MCP core package solution.

The two-storey modular building, delivered by Darwin Group for Wye Valley NHS Trust, provides a single dedicated obstetric operating theatre. It is connected to the main hospital by a link corridor, adding surgical capacity

to the hospital's existing maternity facilities.

Darwin Group UCV theatres are the only modular theatres to feature the MAT ECO-flow Stealth flush-to-ceiling UCV canopy.

The £5.5m project comes directly from national NHS capital funding allocated to help hospitals reduce surgical wait times and handle elective surgeries like planned Caesarean sections.
