It's been another busy week, and we're currently preparing to hand over four operating theatres at Hexham General Hospital.

For this project, MAT was subcontracted to P22 Principal Supply Chain Partner IHP, the main contractor for the redevelopment works for Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

MAT was involved in Phase 3, the final stage of the works, which saw the refurbishment of four existing operating theatres. MAT designed, coordinated, supplied, installed and commissioned four ECO-flow UCV canopies with retractable medical gas and service pendants, Bender operating lamps and theatre control panels, and PACS units.

The project, which won multiple awards at last year's Constructing Excellence Awards, has enhanced facilities across the hospital to create a modern, welcoming environment for patients, families and staff. In addition to the operating theatres, improvements include updated and reconfigured spaces for Maternity, Dentistry, Oncology and Endoscopy.
