Operio Mobile laminar airflow unit

Operio Mobile laminar airflow unit

For protection of the wound site and surgical instruments including prosthetics, implants, catheters, stents, grafts, etc.

One of our NHS hospital clients has just upgraded its infection control and taken delivery of an Operio Mobile laminar airflow unit. The unit is designed to give additional protection for wound sites and instruments in a theatre already providing the appropriate clinical ventilation standards for the procedures taking place. It delivers a concentrated UCV airflow column patch over a limited distance (approx.1.2m) within a conventionally ventilated room or even extends the ultraclean zone when used in conjunction with a UCV canopy. A ceiling-mounted version is also available.

MAT is the UK distributor for the Toul Meditech AB range of mobile laminar flow solutions, which includes the Operio Mobile. For more information, please contact our Business Development Director, Will Evans:

What is ultraclean ventilation (UCV)?
Indoor air is full of bacteria, even in an operating theatre. Bacteria can settle on open wounds during surgery and cause infections that delay recovery or may even be fatal. UCV dramatically reduces this risk.
