The ergonomic units deliver an ultraclean, horizontal flow of air directly over the surgical instruments or minor wound site, minimising the presence of bacteria-carrying particles.

The Toul units HEPA filter 400m³/hour of air (approx), provide a 1.2m length of sterile field (approx), and have a multitude of uses:

  • Protection of patient wound site
  • Protection of surgical instruments – prosthetics, implants, catheters, stents, grafts, etc
  • Vascular and interventional radiological procedures – EVAR, FEVAR, TEVAR, TAVI, etc
  • Cath lab procedures – angiogram, angioplasty, ablation, fitting pacemakers, etc
  • Major surgery – orthopaedics, maxillofacial, ophthalmic
  • Minor surgery – cataracts, plastic, dental, etc

SteriStay - protective instrument table

The unique SteriStay instrument table is mobile and height-adjustable, and just as convenient to use as a regular table. It ensures that surgical instruments, prosthetics, implants, catheters, stents, grafts etc remain sterile during preparation and throughout the entire surgical procedure. 

 

It is estimated that approximately 70% of the bacteria introduced to the wound site come from surgical instruments that have been contaminated by airborne sedimenting bacteria. SteriStay provides an ultraclean air environment ensuring <5 cfu/m3 air around the sterile instruments at all times. As an added benefit, SteriStay actually cleans 400m3 of air every hour through the HEPA filter, offering additional HEPA filtration.

 

The table is flexible and portable and provides an extra tier of secure sterile conditions for instrument preparation.

 

SteriStay can be used in all types of operating rooms and surgical preparation rooms where sterile instruments are handled.  The Steristay can be used to expand and complement any existing ultraclean zone in the operating room.

Operio Mobile - sterile air zone unit

Operio Mobile is a sterile air zone unit, with an integrated foldable instrument tray, intended for use in the operating zone. It produces a directed, non-turbulent ultraclean airflow over the surgical site and/or sterile instruments.

 

The ultraclean airflow is easily aimed over the surgical site or any other area where there is a need to keep the sterile integrity intact. The sterile air zone is clearly pointed out with the help of a smart visual indicator. 

 

The unit circulates the ambient air through a HEPA filtration system, cleaning it and preventing dangerous airborne bacteria-carrying particles from coming into contact with the surgical site and any instruments placed close by. The unit is easy to use and transport between theatres and/or preparation rooms.

Operio - ceiling-mounted sterile air zone unit

Operio Ceiling is a ceiling-mounted flexible sterile air zone unit, intended for use in the operating zone and dedicated to protecting smaller wound sites. It produces a directed, non-turbulent ultraclean airflow over the surgical site.

 

Mounted on an architectural arm system, the unit can easily be manually adjusted to an optimal position where the sterile airflow is required. It is just as easy to move it out of the way when not in use by pushing it towards the ceiling.

 

The unit circulates the ambient air through a HEPA filter to remove bacteria and particles, which prevents dangerous airborne bacteria-carrying particles from coming into contact with the wound site. The sterile air zone is clearly pointed out with the help of a smart visual indicator.
