Making the impossible possible!

News page graphic MAT

Whatever the healthcare or life science design or installation challenge, we have the skills and experience to make every critical ventilation project a success.

At MAT, we pride ourselves on making the impossible possible!

We recently installed a number of new containment laboratories and cleanrooms within an existing building as part of a major life sciences refurbishment project.

As is so often the case with refurbishment projects, there were space constraints that complicated plant and distribution services, as everything that couldn't be handled by the external goods hoist had to be craned into position onto the plant deck - a considerable reach due to limited service road access.

In addition, lack of space meant it wasn't possible to fit all the ductwork serving the laboratories from the air handling plant within the building, so instead it was run on the outside of the building.

Many years of experience in this sector meant that our installations team was able to make it work – from 'impossible' to 'possible' ✅
