Happy Birthday, NHS!

NHS in 1948

When Aneurin Bevan set up the NHS in 1948, his "brave and novel undertaking" became the first universal health system to be available to all, free at the point of delivery.

This week, the NHS celebrates its 76th birthday. Made up of hundreds of organisations with different roles and responsibilities, operating at central, national, regional and local levels, the NHS is said to be the largest employer in Europe, offering over 350 different careers.

We have supplied the NHS for over 40 years, providing and maintaining specialist airflow solutions for operating theatres and recovery, critical care and sterile services, as well as designing and installing aseptic suites, cleanrooms and containment laboratories for research and drug manufacturing environments.

We want to say a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the NHS this Friday. Thank you from everyone at MAT for everything you do - we are very proud to work with you.
